JUST BE!!!

Have you ever wanted to just be?

Noise Noise Noise!! Too much noise.  Everywhere you look all around you there is noise.  Do this, do that, no peace, no quiet, no silence.  You can't think, you can't hear, you can't listen.  You can't just take a moment to smell the roses, listen to the birds sing, relax and read the paper or a good book or do absolutely nothing and just be because there is just too much noise.

The interesting thing is that the noise is of our own making because somehow we believe that if we stopped for a moment the whole world would stop revolving, nothing would get done, we would cease to exist, the house wouldn't get cleaned etc.  But if you dropped dead from exhaustion, or got sick and was laid up for a while what do you think would happen?

Here's a question for you: what do you want to do right now at this very moment?  Do you feel guilty about it?  That somehow if you take a moment for yourself you are wrong?  That you should be caring and doing for others?  That just taking a moment is selfish on your part?  Jesus himself said "love your neighbor as yourself."  How can we love and do for others if we don't know how to do it for ourselves?

Take my very foolish and simplistic advice it’s okay to just BE! To listen to the birds sing, to read a good book or watch a favorite tv show, to sing, to laugh, to dance or just do nothing.  After all the only place that there is no noise is in the grave and no one wants to go there prematurely and that’s where all the noise and the stress and the unhappiness will lead you to is an early grave.

Life is too short ENJOY IT and JUST BE!

Have you found the meaning to life?

Have you ever wondered what the meaning of life is?  Why are we here? What is our purpose, our function, our destiny?  I have found my meaning to life and if you would like to share your thoughts please do.

I have been in search of that for low these past 5 years in fact all my life but more so ever since my mother passed away.  That whole experience is for the books and I will share that in a later post....  I will say this, loosing a parent especially a mother rips the rug right out from under you and turns your world upside down.

I am at the beginning having come through a whole lot of things in the last 5 years since her death.  I have not always lived victoriously or known that I was living victoriously until now.

Anyway, the meaning of life that is the question we are considering today and I suppose the answer is basically what it means to you.  For me it has meant discovering my passions, interests, the gifts that are in me, the things I love to do and then seeking to find that place in the world that I can be most useful and helpful to those around me.  Finding faith, having something to believe in and someone who believes in you is paramount because you cannot no matter how much you try travel alone.

You will meet some interesting people along the way who are there to inspire, help and encourage you.  They are not always patient but they are willing to impart their experiences and their knowledge to help you as you travel along.

There is one scripture that has been my constant companion on this journey and that is

"In all thy ways acknowledge Him and he will direct your path." Pr 3:6

He has been my constant companion and I wouldnt trade this relationship for all the money in the world.

Have you found the meaning to life? What is your experience?  Care to share?
